Can I trade Canadian and other foreign shares? Yes, we specialize in international issues and actively trade both foreign ordinaries and ADRs at no extra commission charge.
What type of accounts are available? De Bary offers cash, margin and option accounts as well as a full range of tax-deferred retirement accounts such as IRAs, Rollover IRAs, and SEP-IRAs. We also handle DVP/RVP accounts, corporate accounts, trust accounts, and investment clubs.
Is there a minimum required to open a de Bary account? No minimum investment is required.
How much are your stock commissions? De Bary's rates are substantially less than full service brokers and are generally competitive with other discount brokers. Also, we provide at no extra charge certain incidental services, including: money journals between accounts, registration and delivery of certificates, limit orders, duplicate statements, reorganization entries, etc.

How safe is my investment portfolio? Securities held in your account can be protected to $500,000 ($100,000 limit for cash) through SIPC , up to $5,000,000 for Infinity money market accounts, and up to $50,000,000 for Resource Management or International Resource Management accounts.
I notice that your clearing firm is Correspondent Services. Who are they? What is a clearing firm? Correspondent Services Corporation (CSC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of UBS PaineWebber Inc. CSC does the accounting of all our trades, clears our trades, mails our trade confirmations and is the custodian of the cash and securities in our clients' accounts.
Can I call a de Bary broker to execute trades? Yes, you can speak to a broker from 8:30 AM to 5:15 PM (New York time), Monday through Friday, to place orders or obtain account information.
How do I get money out of my account? You simply email, fax or phone us with your check request. We will mail a check to your order that day. There is a noon deadline for same-day mailings.
